Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any quote, enquiry or booking made through it with County Services, trading as CS Roofing.
Estimates and quotations
Any initial price given over the phone or through this website, before we have inspected the property, is an estimate: an approximate indication of likely cost based on the information you have given us. It is not a fixed commitment.
A written quotation issued after we have inspected the property sets out the agreed scope of work and price for that work. Once you accept a written quotation, we will carry out the work described for the price stated, subject only to any variation we discuss and agree with you in writing before carrying it out (for example, genuinely unforeseen issues found once work is underway).
Your right to cancel
If you agree to a quotation away from our business premises — for example, at your home, over the phone, or online — this is generally treated in law as an "off-premises" or "distance" contract. In most cases you have the right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing to the contract, without giving a reason.
If you ask us to begin work within that 14-day period, you may lose some or all of your cancellation right once the work has started or been completed, but only where we have first obtained your explicit request and, where required, your acknowledgement of what that means for your cancellation rights. We will confirm this with you directly before starting any urgent or early-start work.
This section is a general summary and is not a substitute for professional legal advice on UK consumer contract law. If you are unsure of your rights in a specific situation, please ask us or seek independent advice before agreeing to work.
Website use
This website is provided for general information about our roofing services. While we try to keep all information accurate and up to date, we make no guarantee that content is free of errors, and service availability may vary by location and time of year.
Workmanship guarantee
Repair and installation work carried out by us is covered by our stated workmanship guarantee (typically 10 years, as noted on the relevant service page), covering defects in our workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by separate incidents (such as storms, falling debris, or unrelated structural issues) after completion, or manufacturer defects in materials, which remain subject to the relevant manufacturer's own warranty.
Liability
We carry full public liability insurance for work we carry out. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
